Let Your Journey Begin

Hi, I’m Steph

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker working on the Kanien’kehá:ka Territory (Island of Montreal, Quebec). Unexpected events and life transitions can have a destabilizing impact on your daily functioning. This may lead you to experience various emotions that are uncomfortable and contribute to anxiety, depressive symptoms, or generalized unwellness.

My individualized, empathic, and trauma-aware approach offers a compassionate sounding board to untangle your challenges. I deeply respect and honour your therapeutic trajectory, and draw from various modalities that are catered to your experience.

My educational background includes a Master of Social Work from McGill University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Women’s Studies from the University of Western Ontario. I have over 18 years of experience working with children, youth and adults in the private, health and social service and education sectors.

During this call, you may become a client and move forward with starting therapy, or I might provide you with referrals for a better fit.
Counseling sessions typically last 50 minutes. Sessions usually begin by providing information about the previous week. Depending upon your needs, I may ask you guided questions, or you may self-direct the session.
This answer depends largely on what type of challenges you are facing and their impact in your life. Clients often see significant improvement within 8-12 weeks, but your therapy may be longer or shorter depending on your goals and the complexity of issues you are bringing to therapy.
